After a long absence...

Sorry for the silence, I haven't really had that much to talk about, and when I have I've been so tired I really couldn't face the computer!
What is happening in my life at the moment...hmm...school is going really well, I'm really enjoying everything. I have a parents' evening in 2 weeks time which I have to go along to. I think that is weird, but my teachers told me it's not that scary really. Anyway, I'm curious about what the teachers want to say about me! I got a highest level grade for my first English novel essay, which I was very happy about :) I've also had to do lots of work for my French oral topic, which is 'Napoleon - hero or villain?' (Well, that's it in precis form). He wrote some very sweet love letters to Josephine, but it doesn't sound like she really deserved them, so there we go. And still on school, I've just had to do the most ridiculous German homework which involved looking up words in my stupidly big dictionary, only to find even that doesn't have them. Grr. And I suppose I may as well finish summing up my school life, history is also going well, we made finger puppets the other week, and then played human snakes and ladders!
Oxford church youth led the Youth Worship Evening last night, which was really good, although we ended three quarters of an hour early. Oops!
However I am now very tired, because mum and I spent the weekend at Mark and Heidi's, looking after Caleb and Elodie, to give them a break. The kids were lovely, but it was still tiring, and I think I've probably caught Caleb's cold now, which means the neverending one I seem to have at the moment will continue for even longer. Oh well.
I only had one lesson today, from 9:45 to 10:45. My teacher wasn't even there for that one, but she'd set us work we had to do as a group. There were only going to be 4 of us, because of various school trips, but in the end 2 people obviously couldn't be bothered so it was only me and my friend Leonie! It was fun though - well, ish.
Apart from that, I am looking forward to Christmas - only 27 days left!!!

Mimi's Wedding

OK, so I'm a little late in posting this, but congratulations to Miriam and Adam who got married on Saturday. Hooray!
As everyone else has posted pictures I can't be bothered as I have no better ones, so just look at either Sarah or Mark and Heidi's blogs.
It was an absolutely brilliant day. Miriam looked gorgeous and everything went really well; everyone behaved and there were no problems. It was slightly cold, but there we go!
I really did think it was fantastic, and I managed not to cry too much!
Actually, I cried on Sunday, and I really miss Miriam now, which is ridiculous - not only because she's been away for far longer before and it never overly affected me, but also because they're only going to be living in Abingdon. Oh well, it must be because it's more final I suppose.
Anyway, I'm now very jealous having seen the amount of presents they received! I want a wedding!

Apart from that life is just bumbling along as usual. This weekend my parents are away somewhere random so my friend Harriet's coming to stay for the weekend, which will be fun. We're going to go to a Ceroc dancing thing at church on Friday, which should be fun!
I am currently in a state of perpetual coldness, and do not warm up from about 8 in the morning till 8 in the evening, when I suddenly become boiling because I insisted on turning on our heating about about 3 in the afternoon. Hmm.

And now I must stop writing this and instead finish my English essay, which I am trying to evade as it is deathly boring, but it's going to have to be done sometime.
