Untitled

I don't believe it's the end of Wednesday already, this holiday has gone far too quickly!
We came back from Exeter today, which has been fun. It was really nice seeing all the Clarkes again, and I also bought lots of new clothes and got lots of Christmas shopping done :) I was starting to panic because it's late October and I hadn't even started on Christmas, so that was good! Dad is annoyed with me now though, because I borrowed some money whilst we were there and paid it back in coppers today. I say he should be grateful I paid at all, but he's not so sure!
I finally finished reading The Time Traveler's Wife, and I'm now reading The Dark Flight Down by Marcus Sedgwick, which is quite young but I read the first book 2 years ago and want to find out what happens! I hate it when authors do that to you! Actually I don't, it's good, but annoying at the same time.
But anyway, I'd better be going now so that I'm ready for when Lost starts - can't miss any of that!

Holidays are getting nearing!

I discovered today that I finish at 12 this Friday because my teacher is away, and there's an inset day the Monday after half term, so my holiday is just getting longer and longer! It's fantastic!
Sorry about the long absence, I find I'm increasingly busy, and also I spent last weekend staying at Mark and Heidi's, which was brilliant fun, thank you again for having me! I probably hindered Caleb's development by letting him watch far too much TV on Saturday when I was looking after him, but it was the Iron Giant, which is so good and I hadn't seen it in so long, so you know, sometimes it's worth it...
I'm reading The Time Traveler's Wife at the moment; anyone else read it? It's really good and very interesting, although it does have it's weirder moments. But I'd recommend it to anyone who wants something to read, if you're looking!
So apart from that and counting the minutes until it's holiday and we go down to visit the Clarkes, I'm not up to much, but I'll keep you all updated on any progress!

Life is Exhausting

At least that's how I feel, at the moment!
I'm getting tons of homework, but even when I don't have work and think I'm free things seem to crop up, so I'm always busy and when I'm not I'm just too tired to do anything but collapse!
I learnt something interesting yesterday though - walkie-talkie in French is talkie-walkie. Bizarre.
I have lots of things I should probably be doing rather than writing this so this post won't be long, although I'm not sure I'm going go get round to them somehow. Oh well.
Um... I'm trying to think of something interesting to write on here. Oh I know - on Saturday I was stewarding at Vertigo, which was a joint youth event for all the churches in Oxfordshire but hosted by us at the King's Centre. Anyway, I was on carparking duty so directing them all into spaces (it's amazing how terrible some people are at parking. 3 spaces, for goodness' sake!), and I got to wear a fluorescent yellow jacket and to have a walkie-talkie. It was very fun :) And hence the French observation, if you hadn't worked it out!
So that's me. Tomorrow I have 2 German lessons, and that's all, which can be very good but can also be very boring if you have no work. German is fun though. It's probably my favourite subject at the moment in that I'm enjoying the lessons the most and finding them most profitable, which is amazingly good because it's probably the subject that I'm weakest in, and also the one subject where I'm not with other ex-King's people. I think I may have already put that on an old post but never mind, it's still true!
And that's me. Anyone got anymore interesting news?
PS I just read this in an old Reader's Digest, but found it so funny that I have to put it in here. It's from the 'All in a Day's Work' section:
As a customs officer I was attending a court case in which we were prosecuting a smuggler. The judge asked the court, "Who makes these allegations?"
My superior officer replied, "I am the alligator."
